Hodgen, Samples to wed in Oklahoma

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hodgen of Somerville and Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Samples of Norman, Okla., announce with pleasure the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Rebecca Ellen Hodgen of Norman, Okla. and Charles David Samples, also of Norman, Okla.

Miss Hodgen is a 2003 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2008 graduate of Auburn University, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She is now serving as director of Strategic Communications for Oklahoma Farm Bureau in Oklahoma City, Okla. She is a past graduate of Leadership Oklahoma, Class XXVIII.

Mr. Samples is a 1978 graduate of Paoli High School in Paoli, Okla. He is an honorary graduate of Texas A&M and an honorary member of the Texas A&M Singing Cadets. He is a graduate of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy, Class of 1984.

He retired from Oklahoma Highway Patrol after 20 years of service, 18 of which were in tactical operations, with many years in leadership positions. He is the owner of Charles Samples Photography.

The couple’s wedding will be at the lakeside residence of Dr. and Mrs. Phillip Bird on June 20, 2015, in Norman, Okla.
