Hartselle woman arrested for spice
A Hartselle woman was arrested on drug charges after a routine traffic stop Wed., Feb. 18.
Officer Rutherford of the Decatur Police Department’s Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to signal a turn in the 300 block of Adams Dr. NW. The driver was identified as Kayla Nicole Brown, 20, of 208 Pine Street in Hartselle.
During the stop, the officer located a quantity of spice and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. An investigator was contacted, and Brown was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and turn signals required.
After being transported to the Decatur City Jail, Brown was later transferred to the Morgan County Jail with a $3,500 bond.
