Linda Hardy Tate

Funeral for Linda Hardy Tate, 61, Hartselle will be Sat., Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. at Hartselle Church of Christ with Charles Balcom and Phillip Hines officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Mt Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., Feb. 21, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Tate died Tues., Feb. 17, 2015, at her residence. She was born Jan. 8, 1954, in Shelby County to Horace Edward Hardy and Elizabeth Marie Kilgore Hardy. Mrs. Tate was a homemaker and was married to her husband, Jerry Tate, for 42 years. Her heart and soul were dedicated to Jesus Christ and to the Hartselle Church of Christ congregation. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gary Alan Hardy; and a son, Rodney Brenton Tate.

She is survived by Jerry Wayne Tate of Hartselle; three sons, David Brentley Tate of Hartselle, Bradley Wayne Tate of Dothan and Brian Preston Tate of Decatur; a daughter, Bridgette Diane Hans of Haggerstown, Ill.; three brothers, Edward Hardy of Harvest, Terry Wayne Hardy of Decatur and Kenny Hardy of Georgia; a sister, Marie Antoinette Austin of Decatur; and 14 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Sims, Alan Walker, Tom Sneed, Talmadge Reynolds, Cecil Cole and Tony Parker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Teague, Bobby Fox, Jeff Harris and Jamie Sullivan.

In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to the Hartselle Church of Christ in her memory.
