Jesse “Randy” Maddux

A graveside service for Jesse Randal “Randy” Maddux, 66, of Falkville will be Sat., Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. at Union Hill Cemetery near Eva, with the Rev. Ralph Henderson officiating, and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Mr. Maddux died Jan. 21, 2015, at UAB following a long and valiant battle with cancer. He was born July 14, 1948, in Falkville to Edmund Frank “Edd” Maddux and Agnes Green Maddux. He had been an excellent mechanic specializing in large trucks and heavy equipment, when he became disabled due to cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two wives, Toni Talley Maddux and Melissa Holmes Maddux.

He is survived by sons, Patrick Maddux (Tammy) and Vincent Maddux, all of Hanceville; three grandchildren, Gary, Kyle and Sarah; and one great-grandson, Kago Maddux; and special friend, Nellie Wyatt.

Pallbearers will be cousins, with Greg Roden as honorary pallbearer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Peck Funeral Home, P.O. Box 427, Hartselle, AL 35640, to help defray funeral cost.
