Clara Moody Stewart

Funeral for Clara Moody Stewart, 83, of Somerville will be Sun., Dec. 21, at 3 p.m. at Center Springs United Methodist Church with Brother Steve Pilkington and Brother Chuck Oden officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time on Sunday at the Church.

Ms. Stewart died Fri., Dec. 19, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born Nov. 4, 1931, in Morgan County to Granville and Gertrude Sivley. She was a member of the Center Springs Community and Center Springs United Methodist Church since 1954. She retired from Prestolite in Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Stewart; a son, Tim Stewart; brothers, Rudolph Sivley and Floyd Sivley; and a grandson, Douglas Helms.

She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Moody (Kim) of Huntsville; Jeff Stewart (Becky) of Decatur; two daughters, Connie Harmon (George) of Somerville and Cynthia Robinson (Kevin) of Moulton; a sister, Mildred Holmes of Somerville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brian Moody, Eli Freeman, Roger Freeman, Billy Higginbotham, Ethan Stewart and Mark Hatfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Center Springs United Methodist Church “Building Fund”.
