Bulldogs defeat Westminster

Priceville boys 58, Westminster Christian 47

 

Priceville’s Bulldogs (8-4, 2-0) scored 18 points in the third quarter and went on to defeat Westminster Christian 58-47 in an area game at home Dec. 9.

The Bulldogs trailed 10-11 after the first quarter, held a 24-22 advantage at halftime and were in control 42-34 after three quarters.

Luke Mason led the Bulldogs in scoring with 23 points and had 6 rebounds. Parker Gwin had 12 points, Kyle Haynes 11 points, Marc McLendon 7 points and 10 rebounds, and Noah Fortner 5 point and 6 rebounds.

The Bulldogs padded their lead by converting 12 of 16 free throw attempts in the final quarter.

We’ve played pretty well the past two or three game,” said head coach Darrell Haynes, “but we’re trying to take the gamed one at a time.”

 

Priceville girls 51, Westminster Christian 37

 

Priceville’s Lady Bulldogs (4-7, 2-0) defeated Westminster Christian 51-37 in an area game at home Dec. 9.

Priceville led 16-2 after one quarter and 25-15 at halftime.

McKenzie Parker paced Priceville in scoring with 19 points. Jordan Speegle followed with 8 points and Ashlee Gwin had seven points. Parker and Gwin each had seven rebounds.
