Jason Kennedy will be the Hartselle campus pastor of Life Church, which launches Aug. 17 at the Hartselle Fine Arts Center.

Life Church, which is loosely affiliated with the Assemblies of God, will launch its Hartselle campus on Sun., Aug. 17, with services at 9 and 11 a.m.

The church meets at Hartselle Fine Arts Center.

Preview services were held since March on the first Sunday evening of the month with approximately130 worshippers in attendance.

“Life Church was established in Cullman three years ago,” said Hartselle campus Pastor Jason Kennedy.  Our congregation of approximately 200 members included about 60 to 75 residents of the Hartselle, Priceville and Decatur area. It was inconvenient for them to travel to Cullman. That’s why we decided to start a campus in Hartselle.”

Brad Sheats is pastor of Life Church in Cullman. His wife Earon is a school teacher in the Hartselle City School System.

“We started a small group Bible study for church members who live in Morgan County about 18 months ago,” Kennedy pointed out.

Our mission is to reach the un-churched, the de-churched and those who do not have a saving faith,” he pointed out.

Kennedy has served full time in the ministry for 18 years. He has a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Texas, a master’s degree in divinity  and is currently  finishing his doctor of divinity.

He and his wife, a family practice physician in Decatur, have two daughters, Clara, seven, and Ellie, four.
