David Graham Oden

Funeral for David Graham Oden, 86, of Eva will be Sat., June 14, at 3 p.m. at Rock Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Tidwell officiating and Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in the Cook Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri., June 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Oden died June 11, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 4, 1928, in Morgan County to Wilburn Oscar Oden and Mattie Lee McCarley Oden. Mr. Oden attended Rock Creek Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army in the Korean War.

Mr. Oden was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Nell Oden; a son, Billy Wayne Oden; and a grandson, Jeremiah Higgins.

He is survived by two sons, Larry David Oden (Kim) of Kouts, Ind., and Donald Ray Oden (Radine) of Eva; two daughters, Linda Kay Kreighbaum of Falkville and Cynthia Lee Higgins (Leonard) of Cullman; two brothers, Dean Oden of Huntsville and Douglas Oden of Somerville; a sister, Ruby Lennox of Cotaco; six grandchildren, Christine Dzur, Jason Kreighbaum, Johnathan Oden, Brad Kreighbaum, Joshua Higgins and Jessica Griffin; five great grandchildren; and his loving cat, Boy.
