“He taught us a lot about life,” said Summerford. “We loved to have him with us and we miss him. He told us our band was the last one he would ever direct. He left here to take an assistant principal’s job at Bob Jones High School and remained in school administration f or the rest of his career.”

Tyler read a letter of appreciation she wrote to Bradley in 2006.

“I was a freshman in high school when he left s in 1974,” she said. “We all love him and hated to see him go. He was a living example of the golden rule. I’m so thankful for the influence he had on my life.”

“I wasn’t a member of the band when I was in high school,” said Morgan County School Board member Mike Tarpley. But I considered Mr. Bradley to be a friend. I know he touched many lives and I’m so happy we could do this in memory of him.”
