Holiday to affect garbage pickup

Garbage collection will be delayed by one day for some Hartselle residents because of the Memorial Day holiday Mon., May 26.
Garbage normally picked up on Monday will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday’s on Wednesday and Wednesday’s on Thursday. The schedule for Thursday will remain the same.
Recyclables will be picked up on Friday. There is no scheduled pickup of yard waste that week. The landfill will be closed Memorial Day as well as all city offices except the police and fire departments.
