New Center Baptist plans revival

Many times, we put our trust in money, a career, a worthy cause, even a lifelong dream but in Deuteronomy 33:27 we find that our only true refuge is God. On Monday afternoon, I attended the service of Mrs. Alice Posey at New Center Baptist Church. Pastor Ben Bates shared this verse with the family. No matter what we go through, even the loss of a loved one, we can take refuge in God.

Christian love and sympathy is extended to my aunt, Mearleen Maples and her sister, Sarah Plemons, in the loss of their sister, Margaret Halbrooks.

Christian love and sympathy is extended to Danny Bates, Anita Hensley, Melissa Knighten and Susan Metcalf and their families in the loss of their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mrs. Alice Posey.

A big hello goes out this week to Chip and Beverly Spicer, Stephen and Amber Robinson, Billy Ray and Peggy Shadden and Todd and Jenny Russell. Wishing all of you a great week.

Happy birthday wishes go out this week to Jeremy Childers on March 20, Tyler Hall on March 21, Ed Buckner, Stephanie Estes, Mildred Ferrell Varnadore and Angela Wilson, all on March 23, Jerry Cobbs and Amanda Collins, both on March 24, Diane Clemons, Connie Hillis and John Hines, all on March 25, Caden Childers and Teresa Boyer, both on March 26, Lorene Oden and Ariel Allen, Riley Chaffee, Tara Swearengin and Elizabeth Halbrooks, all on March 28.

Happy anniversary wishes to Bud and Betty Lucas on March 26, Lynn and Royce Goree on March 28.

New Center Baptist Church announces a revival meeting April 13-16, with Bro. Michael Mason as the evangelist. Services will be Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. as well as Monday through Wednesday of the following week Bro. Mason will preach all five services.
