Lucille “Lucy” Walker

Funeral for Lucille “Lucy” Walker, 80, of Danville will be Sun., March 2, at 2 p.m. at Speake Christian Fellowship Church with Bro. Francis Proctor and Bro. Jonathan Proctor officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery (Upshaw). Visitation will be Sat., March 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Walker died Fri., Feb. 28, 2014, at her residence. She was born May 26, 1933, in Morgan County to Monroe Daniel Walker and Maudie Nevady Legg Walker. She was a member of Speake Christian Fellowship Church and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary. She was involved in Avon Sales and leadership for 27 years. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Asa Francis Walker, Jr.; six brothers, Roy, Thurman, Paul, Brady, Oliver and Kenneth Walker; three sisters, Ida Ambrester, Lodean Prater, and Violene Keeling; a grandson, Frankie Curatola; and her parents, Rev. M.D. Walker and Vady Legg Walker.

She is survived by three sons, Mark Walker of Falkville, Asa Lynn Walker and Roger Walker, both of Danville; two daughters, Martha Jo Wise and Cynthia Curatola, both of Danville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jason Wise, Joshua Wise, Jason Wilson, Brandon Reeves, Jason Reeves and Zach Ghrigsby.
