Tommy Murphy

Funeral for Tommy Murphy, 63, of Cotaco will be Sun., Feb. 23, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Fowler officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., Feb. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Murphy died Wed., Feb. 19, 2014, at his residence. He was born Jan. 24, 1951, in Morgan County to Loyd Carl Murphy and Dorothy Elizabeth Oden Murphy. Mr. Murphy was formerly employed by the 3M Company as an Inventory Specialist. He was preceded in death by his father, Loyd Carl Murphy.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Thomas Murphy (Christen) of Cotaco; two daughters, Casey Denise Johnson of Decatur; Kari DeAnne Reaviel (Lee) of Somerville; mother, Dorothy Elizabeth Oden Murphy of Decatur; a brother, Ronnie Murphy (Connie) of Cullman; two sisters, Patty Childers (James) of Cotaco and Jennifer Looney (Tony) of Decatur; eight grandchildren, Hunter, Kolton, Kameron and Kristopher Bramlett, Taylor Reaviel, Brayden Murphy, Chelsey Johnson and Carmen Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Bramlett, Kolton Bramlett, Chad Brooks, Shawn Reed, Justin Cobb and Daniel Blocker.
