Carrell William Livingston

Funeral for Carrell William Livingston, 81, of Decatur will be  Sat., Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. at Shoal Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Chuck Bass and Gary Linville officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Shoal Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., Feb. 22,  from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Livingston died Wed., Feb. 19, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Aug. 3, 1932, in Morgan County to John Henry and Lillie L. Speegle Livingston. Mr. Livingston was a member and a deacon at Shoal Creek Baptist Church, where he was the overseer of the cemetery for many years. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army. He worked for General Motors as a maintenance worker. He retired from GM in 1999. He was a great man of God and a family man, who loved and cared for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert H. Livingston; and a sister, Lottie Echols.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Faye Guyse Livingston of Decatur; three sons, Keith Livingston (Brie), Tony Livingston (Hope), both of Hartselle and Craig “Homer” Livingston of Decatur; a brother, Carl Richard Livingston (Carol) of Decatur; ten grandchildren, John Henry, Savannah (Aaron), Boone, Darla, Steadman, Chandler, Hunter, Lillie, Truker and Heather; and a great-grandchild, Ocean.

Pallbearers will be Joe Echols, Tim Echols, Ricky Livingston, Leonard Summerford, Keith Jezierski and Tyler Rutherford.
