Dorothy Halbrooks Drain

Funeral for Dorothy Halbrooks Drain, 79, of Hartselle will be Sat., Feb. 15, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chuck Oden and the Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., Feb. 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Drain died Wed., Feb. 12, 2014, at her residence. She was born Feb. 15, 1934, in Morgan County to James Mac Halbrooks and Nellie Pauline Tapscott Halbrooks. She was Baptist in her faith and a member of Victory Independent Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was formerly the Co-Owner of Drain’s Country Hams. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Drain Tannehill of Madison; a son-in-law, Jeff Tannehill of Madison; and close family member, Chuck Cathers.

Pallbearers will be Chris Burgess, Curtis Slaten, Chris Dunn, Billy Bryan, Jeff Tannehill and Geoff Halbrooks.
