Funeral for Rev. Jimmy Wright, 85, of Hartselle will be Sun., Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. at Somerville Baptist Church with Dr. Shane Lewis officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Forrest Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., Feb. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rev. Wright died Fri., Feb. 7, 2014, at his residence. He was born Mon., Sept. 17, 1928, in Carroll County, Ga. to Vennie D. Wright and Willie Mae Lee Wright. He was a minister for 63 years. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Wright of Hartselle; a son, Barry Wright (Susan) of Falkville; three daughters, Cheryl Wright of Hartselle, Shelia Power (David) of Harvest and Sharon Holder (Chuck) of Danville; two sisters, Janice Huckeba and Lynda Baxter, both of Ga.; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Holder, Terry Borden, Matt Holmes, Jeremy Ricks, Dalton Bray and Christopher Blaylock.

Family appreciates donations being made to Hospice of the Valley.
