Priceville Elementary School singled out school board members and central office directors for special recognition on Tuesday with a home-cooked breakfast in the school library.

The event was conducted in keeping with National School Board Appreciation Week.

“”Our principal, board members and central office directors mean so much to our school staff and students that we wanted to do something special to recognize them for what they do,” said principal Cherie Humphries.

The guest list included Mary Beth Henry, director of nutrition, John Godwin, chief school finance officer; Hank Summerford, transportation and maintenance director; and Cliff Booth, director of human resources.

Humphries welcomed guests and expressed appreciation to them for the important roles they play in the successful education of Morgan County children.

A wide variety of home-cooked breakfast dishes was served and the school’s third-fifth grade choir provided entertainment.

The annual event was originally scheduled on Jan. 31 before being rescheduled due to a conflict.
