Friendship Quartet issues special thank you

This is the third week of the new year.

How many resolutions or promises that you made have you already broken? If you are like me, we all have good intentions, but whether we mean to or not, we lose focus sometimes. Before we realize it, we forget our resolutions.

Many times, we have our own self-improvements in mind, but we should ask ourselves, what does God want me to do? The prophet Micah says in Micah 6:8 that God tells us to do right, be merciful and walk humbly with Him.

One thing we can be thankful for is we don’t have to depend on our own strength. God will help us to continue to walk with Him.

Christian love and sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Early “Buddy” Vaughn, O’neal Terry, Dan Dobbs and Diedra Mitchell in their loss.

The Friendship Quartet would like to give a special thank you to everyone who attended their recent homecoming/watch night service, especially those who helped serve and cleaned up the fellowship hall afterwards.

May God bless each of you, Geoff, Tammy, Randy, Cleo, Michael, Seth, Greg, Gordon and Stanley.

Happy birthday wishes go out this week to Horace Plemons on Jan. 9, Luke Elliott on Jan. 10, James Cross on Jan. 11, Cecil Berry and Barbara Thrasher, both on Jan. 12, Whitney Lewis and Ashley L. Stoltz, both on Jan. 13, Jenny Russell on Jan. 14, Emily Parker, Abigail Rogers and Christie Holsomback on Jan. 15 and Terry Hopper on Jan. 16.

Happy anniversary wishes go out to Jerry and Patsy Sharp on Jan. 14.
