Louise Abernathy Hargrove

Funeral for Louise Abernathy Hargrove, 86, of Bedford will be Sun., Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Lynne Herring, PHD officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sun., Jan. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hargrove died Tues., Jan. 7, 2014, at Parkwood Healthcare in Bedford Texas. She was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Limestone County to William Cardwell Abernathy and Dapsie Odell Pike Abernathy. Mrs. Hargrove was retired from the Civil Services as a secretary of the U.S. Army. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy W. Hargrove; a son, Michael Grant Hargrove; three brothers, Eugene, Grady and James Abernathy; and three sisters, Elizabeth Sims, Mildred Sanders and Mattie Tribble.

She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Hargove Sharp of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Autumn Foster (Scott) of Decatur, Hollie Michelle Hargrove of Martinez, Calif., Jennifer Sharp Bryan (David) of Madison and Timothy Brian Sharp (Carole) of Hartselle; four great-great-grandchildren.
