Helen Morelock Childers

A graveside service for Helen Morelock Childers, 85, of Hartselle was Mon., Dec. 30, at 11 a.m. in Lawrence Cove Cemetery with Bro. Charles Shaddix officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Childers died Fri., Dec. 27, 2013, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born July 2, 1928, in Tennessee to Ruben Morelock and Mollie Ramsey Morelock. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Truel G. Childers; a son, Bob Childers; and her parents.

She is survived by two sons, David Glenn Childers (Cindy) of Hartselle and Roger Dale Childers (Melody) of Florida; two sisters, Josephine Mayberry (Dan) of Florida and Mary Katherine Eaves of Oregon; two grandchildren, Sharon Bailey (Chris) and Daniel Childers

Pallbearers were family and friends.

The family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Library Fund.

A special thanks to Dr. Vakharia, Falkville Health Care and Southern Care Hospice for all their care.
