Douglas Randall Floyd

Funeral for Douglas Randall Floyd, 59, of Decatur will be Sat., Dec. 21, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Quail Creek Chapel with the Rev. Matt Nail officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., Dec. 21, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Quail Creek Chapel.

Mr. Floyd died Thur., Dec. 19, 2013, at his residence. He was born June 22, 1954, in Jones County, Mississippi to Howard Douglas Floyd and Mozelle Belcher Haywood Floyd. Mr. Floyd was retired from General Motors. He worked part time at the Point Mallard Golf Course. He also worked part time for the Point Mallard Golf Course. His favorite hobby was playing golf. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Floyd; a son, Mark Eason Mizell, Jr. and wife Suzanne; a daughter, Ashley Leighanne Floyd; a sister, Connie Latas and husband Dick; two grandchildren, Eason Mizell and Coleman Mizell.

Pallbearers will be family and friends including, Steve Chandler, Dick Latas, Edward McCormick, Ronald Belcher, Eason Mizell, Coleman Mizell and Kodi Chandler.

In lieu of flowers family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of the Valley, P.O. Box 2745, Decatur, Alabama 35602 and/or The First Tee.
