Family throws Milford Cobbs a 75th birthday party

Trials are something everyone faces.

Job 14:1 tells us man that is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble. Some often say that life is not fair.

Job committed about some of these trials such as sickness, loneliness, disappointment and death. No matter how unfair your present world seems God offers the hope of being in his presence eternally. Have you accepted this offer?

The children of Milford Cobbs, who turned 75 on Oct. 13, honored him on that day with a birthday party at Veterans Park Community Center at Priceville.

Attending the festivities was his wife Faye, his daughter Donna Cobbs Coleman and husband John, his son Jerry Cobbs and wife Rita, his grandsons, Hayden Coleman, Joel Cobbs and Garrett Cobbs. Chris Halbrooks and Ethan Cobbs. His other two grandsons, were unable to attend but made special contact with him on that big day. All of his brothers and sisters made the event, Jerold Cobbs and wife Judy, Clifford Cobbs, Jane Cobbs Long and husband Donnie, Susan Cobbs Holmes and husband, Jerry. Aunts and uncles who attended were J.L. Hopper and wife Glenda, Wilda Hopper Ellenburg and Patsy Hopper Walden. Others who joined in the celebration were Henry “Bud” Gibson and wife Maxine, Jean Williamson, Beverly Harville, Sheila Haynie, Margaret Sittason, Steve Coleman and Casey, Stevie and Kay Coleman and Wells Coleman.

Happy birthday wishes go out this week to Cindy Lackey on Oct. 25, Colton Gibson, Dakota Free, Doc Thompson, Allen Townsend, Roxanne Tucker and Kathryn Monk on Oct. 27, Kristy Halbrooks on Oct. 28, Tim Dodd on Oct. 30 and Gina Aguado, Emma Cook, Drew Johns and Tammy Whitten on Oct. 31.

Happy anniversary wishes to Shannon and Kasonyia Briggs and Andy and Brenda Wilhoite on Oct. 24, Daniel and Solita Matthews on Oct. 28, Tim and Marsha Smith and Steve and Christie Holsomback on Oct. 29 and James and Connie Hillis on Oct. 31.
