Hershell Fortenberry

Mr. Fortenberry, 82, of Hartselle, died Wed., Oct. 23, 2013, at his residence. He was born June 24, 1931, in Morgan County to Wesley Fortenberry and Hassie Mitchell Fortenberry. He was self-employed as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Jerry Fortenberry.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Fortenberry of Hartselle; four sons, Jr. Fortenberry of Decatur, Jackie Fortenberry of Neel, Frankie Fortenberry of Hartselle and Danny Fortenberry of Decatur; two daughters, Debra Davis of Decatur and Joyce Posey of Decatur; five step-sons, Steve Nelson and Terry Nelson, both of Hartselle, Randy Nelson of Decatur, Scott Nelson of Somerville and Tim Nelson of Decatur; and a step-daughter, Merita Carroll of Nashville, Tenn.
