The Town of Falkville has changed the date of its annual Fall Festival from the last Saturday to the second Saturday in October.

This year’s event will therefore be held on Sat., Oct. 12, instead of Sat., Oct. 26.

The decision was made by event planners in the hope that weather conditions would be more favorable for vendors and festival goers two weeks earlier than usual, according to Town Clerk Dawn Estes.

The all-day event offers a well-rounded lineup of fun-filled activities, including a pancake breakfast, antique car show, tractor show, bingo, live entertainment, cake auction and children’s play area.
