Charles L. Maples

Funeral for Charles L. Maples, 86, of Hartselle will be Sat., Aug. 17, at 2 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church with the Rev. Joey Staton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., Aug. 17, from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Maples died Thur., Aug. 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born Feb. 27, 1927, in Rossville, Ga. to Fred J. and Cora Maples. Mr. Maples was a member of Grace Fellowship Church. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Marines. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Jean Duke Maples of Hartselle; two sons, Lee Maples and wife, Sandy and Buddy Morris Maples, both of Hartselle; a daughter, Kaye Maples and husband Roger of Huntsville; five step-sons, Carl Wininger, Danny Wininger, Bill Wininger, Bobby Wininger and Robert Morris; a step-daughter, Regina Bearden; four grandchildren; and three step grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and church members.
