Stadium fundraiser set for Saturday

The Hartselle Quarterback Club is sponsoring its annual J.P. Cain Stadium Run Saturday.

The event features a dye πk fun run beginning at 5:30 p.m., which is 3.1415 km long and will subject the runners to large amounts of flying colored corn starch.

Runners are encouraged to wear eye protection and to wear white to get dyed. A photo of all of the runners will be taken following the race at 6:15 p.m.

The 5k run begins at 6:30 p.m. and the course is USATF/RRCA certified. Chip Timing will be used for the 5k race.

The races will start and finish at the stadium. Awards will follow the conclusion of the 5k race at 7:30 p.m.

Entry fees are $30 on the day of the race for one race or $55 for both races.

Proceeds will benefit the J.P. Cain Stadium expansion project. J.P. Cain Stadium is the football home of the Hartselle High School Tigers. Plans are currently in place to expand and improve the facilities at the stadium.
