The Morgan County High School Class of 1953 held its 60th class reunion Saturday at the Freight House Restaurant. Class members on hand for the celebration included, from left (front) Carolyn Rausa Martin, Jean Mayfield Vest, Lucille Collins Sims, Laverne Vinzant Byrd, Carolyn Johnson, Bettye Sanders English, Ethel Nelson Lemmond, Christine White Pearsall, JoAnn Dean Slocomb, Betty Stephenson Hopper, (back) Billy Charles Tanner, Ed Monroe, Martha Moss Powell, Bobby Ray Brown, Hilda Moss Sparkman, Robert Peck, Charles Ray and Bob Francis. Guests included Gene Johnson, Buddy Slocomb, Willie Monroe, Milton Powell, Ronald Sparkman, Gail Peck, Ora Ray, Dixie Francis, and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Tyler of Georgia.
