Lions to host golf tourney

Falkville Lions Club will sponsor its annual Golf Tournament at Quail Creek Golf Resort on June 22.

The fee for the four-man scramble event is $200 per team or $50 per hole sponsor.

The event is the club’s largest fundraiser. Proceeds from the 2012 event made it possible to provide food and gifts for 49 needy families at the club’s annual Christmas project.

The club also helped 25 needy individuals get eyeglasses, provided college scholarships and supported other worthwhile activities.

To pre-register or for additional information, contact Terry Nappier at 256-784-5216 or 256-339-5608. Arthur Summerford at 256-784-5715 or 256-612-1815 or Jimmie Walker at 256-784-5749 or 256-303-7772.
