Somerville bust nets 2 suspects

The Morgan County Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant at 1232 Morrow Mountain Road in Somerville and found a suspected meth lab, Wed., May 15, around 6:30 p.m.

Agents reported that over a several month investigation they had been receiving information that the resident, James Reid Sharpe, 43, was selling Crystal Meth “ICE” from Priceville area motels and his home.

During the search, agents made contact with Sharpe and Timothy Dean Neal, 50. The MCDTF found the remains of a red phosphorous meth lab, including five unopened boxes of Pseudoephe-drine, a loaded 12 gauge shotgun, 8.7 grams of crystal meth “ICE” and approximately 32 ounces of a bi-phase liquid believed to be liquid meth oil.

Sharpe was arrested on the scene and charged with the unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance 1st degree-methamphetamine, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance with intent to distribute a controlled substance and felony unlawful posses-sion of drug parapher-nalia.

Neal was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a control-led substance metham-phetamine and loitering in a drug house.
