Good things come from small towns

Have you ever been waiting in a doctor’s office, standing in the tag line, or maybe just sitting at the park and the person next to you asks you where you are from? I have and my reply is I’m from a small community east of Hartselle. There’s not a lot of to do there, but visit with your neighbor, and no one famous but some very special folks. There’s a lot to be said about being from a small town or community. Most all folks attend the local church, not a lot of traffic and most all folks know each other.

Anything good ever come out of our community? Sure, farmers, policemen, doctors, nurses, lawyers, teachers and folks that care about you and love the Lord. Jesus grew up in a small town and the same question was asked there; can anything good come out of Nazareth? Jesus proved that it could and as Paul Harvey would say, “you know the rest of the story.”

Christian love and sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Betty Simmons, Susan Wright, Barbara Camp-bell and T.D. Clemons.

Here’s something to pass along: The Caring Place is in need of clothes especially little boy’s sizes 4, 5 and 6.
