Funeral for Mike Reed, 54, of Hartselle will be Thur., May 2, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Garrison officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Wed., May 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Reed died Mon., April 29, 2013, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Nov. 26, 1958, in Atlanta, Ga. to John W. Reed, Sr. and Andre Lambert Reed. He was a former employee of Copeland and worked in Quality Control. He also worked for Reed Construction and Design.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Reed of Hartselle; a son, Mikee Reed and wife, Chasity, of Hartselle; a daughter, Becca Reed of Hartselle; his mother, Andre Lambert Reed of Hartselle; a sister, Amy Johnston and husband Kevin of Decatur; grandchildren, Tripp and Tensley; nephew, Zane; aunts, Norma Johnson and Barbara Lambert; uncles, James Lambert and John Lambert; brother-in-law, Bill Guyett; Joann Ivey; the family of Greg Ivey; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Greg Ivey, Russell Woodruff, Bill Guyett, Dana Terry,

Larry Woodard, Kenney Herbert, Derrick White and Alan Wiley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to Christ Fellowship “Building Fund.”
