A Hartselle man will be heading to the Morgan County Jail from Decatur City Jail after being accused of selling oxycodone hydrochloride in Decatur.

Jordan Blake Owens, 20, of 437 Herring Road in Hartselle has been charged with obtained two counts for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance. Owens was in Decatur City Jail at the time the warrants were issued.

During the month of February, members of the Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit conducted an investigation into the illegal sales of prescription pills.

During the investigation, investigators along with a cooperating witness were able to buy quantities of oxycodone hydrochloride (a schedule II controlled substance) from Owens on two separate occasions.
