Mrs. Jannette Irene “Red Bird” Steeples, 48, of Decatur died Sun., April 7, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
A memorial service may be held at a later date by the family.
She was born Aug. 27, 1964, in Morgan County to Fred McDonald and Ruby Hazel Morris McDonald. Mrs. Steeples was a cook for Hickory Stick BBQ. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, William Jeffrey Steeples of Decatur; two sons, Roy Edward Fortenberry and Troy James Fortenberry, both of Decatur; five brothers, Jerry Dwight McDonald and Bruce Way McDonald, both of Decatur, Billy Dale McDonald of Hartselle, John William McDonald of Elkmont and Willis Edward Morris of Danville; two sisters, Mary Jane Butler of Decatur and Francis Ann McDonald of Tennessee; and a grandchild, Bladen Alexander Berry.
