Kayla Faulk hit a three-run home run and struck out seven batters to help the Lady Tigers rally to defeat Cullman in an area softball game Monday.

Faulk’s home run in the third inning put Hartselle on the board, trailing 4-3. The Lady Tigers then added runs in the fourth and fifth innings before exploding for four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The key for Hartselle was key hitting at the bottom of the order.

No. 8 batter Haley Jared finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored. She also hit a two-run single that put Hartselle ahead for good 7-6 in the bottom of the sixth inning.

No. 9 batter Madeline Sittason was also 2-for-4 with a run. She gave them much-needed insurance on a two-run double.

Other hitters were Taylor Wascavage, Sarah Ellen Battles and Ashley Boggs.

Faulk went the distance allowing two earned runs on seven hits and four walks. The Tigers also committed three errors.
