Hartselle goes 2-3 in Memphis

The Hartselle Tigers went 2-3 during their weekend trip to Memphis, Tenn., Friday and Saturday.

Hartselle 8, Houston (Tenn.) 4

Brett Blackwood went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a stolen base to lead Hartselle to an 8-4 win over Houston (Tenn.) Saturday.

Aaron Lamb, Easton Chenault, Tanner Oakes and Zane Hamlett all had hits. Lamb also added two runs and an RBI. Hamlett added a run and an RBI.

AJ Owens, Colton Ord and Daniel Conley all had runs for the Tigers.

Jake Nelson allowed four runs on nine hits to get the win. He also struck out five batters. Deacon Aldridge got his third save of the season to close out the win.

Arlington 4, Hartselle 3

The Tigers got 10 hits, but had trouble cashing in. Hartselle finished the game batting .187 with runners in scoring position.

Brett Blackwood led the tigers in defeat, going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a run scored. Zane Hamlett also had a pair of hits.

Aaron Lamb, Easton Chenault, Chris Brown, Blake Slayton and Colton Ord also had hits. Oakes, Lamb and Tyler Phillips drove in runs.

Griffen Steelman allowed two earned runs on seven hits and one walk with six strikeouts in the loss.

Glover 6, Hartselle 3

Glover scored three runs in the second inning to take control, as the Tigers lost.

Deacon Aldridge led the Hartselle attack, going 3-for-4 with a run scored.

Easton Chenault also went 2-for-3 while Colton Ord and Tyler Phillips added hits.

Levi Tapscott took the loss, allowing one earned run on six hits in four and two-thirds innings. He also had two strikeouts.

He relieved Brady Wallace, who allowed three earned runs through two and one-third innings and struck out two batters.

Collierville 3, Hartselle 1

Despite out-hitting Collierville 5-3, the Tigers came up short on Friday night.

Deacon Aldridge had an RBI single in the seventh inning to drive in Tyler Phillips for the only run of the game. Aldridge also added a double.

Aaron Lamb also added two hits.

Starting pitcher Colton Ord allowed two unearned runs on two hits and four walks with five strikeouts. Reliever Levi Tapscott allowed one run and struck out one batter in two innings.

Hartselle 7, Bartlett 3

Brett Blackwood and Chris Brown homered to lead the Tigers Friday night against Bartlett.

Blackwood also added a double, two runs and two RBIs. Brown finished 2-for-4 while Easton Chenault was 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Zane Hamlett and Aaron Lamb also added two RBIs.

Tillman Landers earned the win, pitching five innings while allowing three earned runs on five hits and three walks. He also added two strikeouts. Jackson Smith got the save, pitching a perfect two innings with a strikeout.
