Lady Tigers blank West Point
Kayla Faulk hit a three-run home run and drove in another run to help the Hartselle softball team shutdown West Point 10-0 in a key area game Tuesday afternoon.
Faulk’s homer to centerfield in the bottom of the sixth inning keyed a five-run rally and ended the game due to the 10-run mercy rule.
Baylee Holt also had a big day, going 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs.
Starting pitcher Haley Jared scattered three hits and two runs to earn the hit. In addition to her four strikeouts on the mound, she also went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Emily Lipinski and Hope Cain both had singles for the Lady Tigers.
