Floyd B. Mims

Funeral for Floyd B. Mims, 77, of Somerville will be Sun., March 31, at 5 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Smith officiating, eulogy to be given by Robert Mims and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Sun., March 31, 2013 from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Mims died on Thur., March 28, 2013, at his residence. He was born May 14, 1935, in Morgan County to Earl Brewer Mims and Rebecca Janette Johnson Mims. Mr. Mims was a member of Morgan County Master Gardeners Association and a member of the Huntsville Gem and Mineral Society. He was the owner of Mims Blueberry Farms.

He is survived by his wife, Florence Colver Mims of Somerville; two sons, Robert Mims and wife Amy and Daniel Mims and wife Kim, all of Somerville; three daughters, Sharon Garner and husband Tommy of Decatur, Sandy Bean and husband David of Somerville and Julie Rutherford and husband Ray of East Limestone; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be will be family members.

Honorary pallbearer will be Cade Mims.
