Gentle named player of week again

Katie Gentle of Hartselle has been named OC Sports NJCAA Division I softball player of the week for games March 18-24.
The sophomore left fielder retained her player of the week title after stringing together another set of top-notch performances for the Wallace State Community College Lions.
This week, she boasted a .800 batting average (12-for-15) that included six doubles and two home runs.
Gentle recorded 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored as Wallace State won all four of its games. Improving her batting average to a team-high .649 this season, Gentle also leads the No. 7 Lions with 13 doubles, 27 RBIs and 11 stolen bases.
