PHS goes 1-2 in Decatur Tourney

Priceville’s Lady Bulldogs went 1-2 in three games played in the Decatur Invitational Tournament at Wilson-Morgan Park on Friday and Saturday.

The Lady Bulldogs lost to Westminster 1-3 in their opening pool play game, shut out Decatur 10-0 in a second Friday game and fell to West Morgan, 0-7, in the first round of the single elimination tournament on Saturday.

McKenzie Parker scored Priceville‘s only run in the opening game after leading off with a walk and scoring on a passed ball. Sara Beth Wilson had two hits. Abby St. John allowed three runs on two hits and was credited with the loss.

The Lady Bulldogs had seven hits against Decatur. Parker and Amber Johnson each had two hits and two RBIs. Emily Williams, Heather Owens and Anna Catherine Law each had a shot and an RBI, Amber Johnson had two RBIs and scored two runs and Brittany Marks had an RBI.

Erin Payne was credited with the win, allowing four hits,

West Morgan scored three runs in the first inning, one in the second and three in the fourth. The Lady Rebels didn’t allow Priceville a hit.

St. John was tagged with the loss, allowing seven runs on five hits.
