Danville man found intoxicated in Decatur driveway

A Danville man is facing drug charges after Decatur Police found him intoxicated in his vehicle.

Joel Keith Roberson, 53, of 217 Blankenship Road in Danville was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the jail on a $3,000 bond.

On Feb. 24, 2013, members of the Decatur Police Department’s patrol division responded to 6467 Danville Road in Decatur police jurisdiction in reference to an intoxicated person sitting inside his vehicle in a concerned citizen’s driveway.

Officers located a quantity of methamphetamine in Roberson’s vehicle. Roberson was placed under arrest and was transported to the Decatur City Jail.

While being booked at the city jail, officers located a methamphetamine pipe on Roberson. Roberson was processed in the Decatur City Jail and will be later transferred to the Morgan County Jail.
