Kelso-Clough first female named Cattleman of the Year

Ms. Betty Kelso-Clough of Somerville was honored at the Morgan County Cattleman’s annual meeting in January by being the first female recipient of the Cattleman of the Year award.
Her accolades were not recognized only on the local level as she also received the National President’s Choice Award for innovative ideas and dedication to the bred.
Ms. Clough owns a registered Santa Gertrudis herd, Happy Valley Ranch, with commercial bulls and replacement females she started in 1977 with cattle from Texas.
