Lady Patriot JV wins county title

Hartselle’s JV girls basketball team took second place in the Morgan County Tournament on Saturday at Priceville. “We had a lull in the second quarter and allowed them to build a lead that we couldn’t overcome,” said Hartselle coach Jaime Roden. “But I thought our defense played pretty well. “We have only three sophomores on this team, the rest are freshmen. “They’ve worked hard and come a long way. I’m proud of them for what they’ve accomplished.”

Brewer’s leading scorer was Ledbetter with 13 points. Caity Jett followed with 11 points and Presley Craft and Tamera Chatman each had six points.

Corum paced the Lady Tigers by scoring eight points. Jada Hayes had six points and Madison Williams and Erica Allen each added four points.
