Brewer girls get 17th win at Arab

The No. 1 Brewer girls basketball team continued its run for a second straight Class 5A state title by defeating area foe Arab 56-49 on the road Jan. 8.
The win pushed the Lady Patriots’ record to 17-1 overall and 4-0 in area games.
Riley Northway was the pacesetter in the win with 23 points and 15 rebounds. Cheyenne McLemore followed with 10 points and Malorie Drinkard and Savana Flack each had eight points.
