Betty Carolyn Prince

Funeral for Betty Carolyn Prince, 56, of Hartselle, will be Fri., Jan. 11, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Harold Thompson, Jeff Redmond and Charles Foreman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri., Jan. 11, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Miss Prince died on Wed., Jan. 9, 2013, at her residence. She was born Wed., Jan. 18, 1956, in Morgan County to Paul Prince and Betty Jane Stewart Prince. Miss Prince was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartselle. She loved children and they loved her. She had a special ministry of personalizing cards and writing letters and her list of pen pals covered the globe. She had a deep desire to help the under privileged. She loved the outdoors and animals, especially dogs, horses and mules, and she loved the sunrise and sunset.

She is survived by her special friend, Bob Hall of Hartselle; her parents, Paul Prince and Betty Jane Prince of Hartselle; a brother, Charles Gregory Prince and wife Juana of Hartselle; three sisters, Cornelia Ann Walker and Rebecca Jane Tankersley and husband Joe Ed all of Hartselle, and Mary Paul Hendry and husband Robert, of Satellite Beach, Fla.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dale Burch, George McDonald, Juan Cortez, Jerry Self, Wesley Tankersley, John David Blackwood and William Campbell Hendry.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to your favorite charity.
