Cora Lyle Dunaway

Funeral for Cora Lyle Dunaway, 98, of Falkville, was Tues., Jan. 8, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stanley Ryan officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Dunaway died Sun., Jan. 6, 2013, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born July 14, 1914, in Morgan County to Thomas Walter Lyle and Kiturah Lee Lemmond Lyle.  Mrs. Dunaway was formerly a homemaker and  a dietary employee of Summerford Nursing Home.  She was a member of Falkville Church of Christ.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Melvin Dunaway; and a grandson, Jeffrey Alan Greer.

She is survived by a son, J.C. Dunaway and wife Margaret of Falkville; two daughters, Nelda Holmes and Jean Greer and husband Richard, both of Falkville; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons and great -grandsons.
