Hartselle’s Lady Tigers made their free throws down the stretch to defeat Cullman 42-36 in area play Tuesday night.

Hartselle (10-7, 3-2) held the lead at halftime and stretched the narrow advantage to 32-27 by the end of the third quarter. Cullman cut the lead to 34-31 early in the fourth quarter, but a lay-up by Quanesha Burks and Sarah Horner’s pair of free throws extended the advantage back to 38-31.

From there, Cullman could get only as close as five points down the stretch as Hartselle cruised to the win.
