Larry A. Parr

Funeral for Larry A. Parr, 84, of Hartselle will be Mon., Jan. 7, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Patton, Bill Hall and Ben Walker officiating.

Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Parr died on Fri., Jan. 4, 2013, at his home. He was born May 18, 1928 in Morgan County to William Andrew Parr and Margaret David Armstrong Parr. He was the president of Parr Contracting, Inc. and was a member of Somerville Road Church of Christ for 58 years. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Glen Spencer, and three sisters, Wilma Parr, Jean Hallmark and Jo Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Hanks Parr; a son, David A. Parr and wife Maggie; two daughters, Brenda P. Spencer and Sandra P. Meadowsa and husband Jim, all of Hartselle; a sister, Margaret Wilburn of Colombia, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Joyce Ambrose, Jennifer Hendrix and husband Chris, Jason Spencer and wife Amber, Trai Meadows and wife Kristen, Tyde Meadows and wife Kelly and Tron Meadows and wife Kalie; and seven great-grandchildren, Spencer, Andrew, Oliver, Jace, Kate, Jack and Kate.

Pallbearers will be Jason Spencer, Trai Meadows, Tyde Meadows, Tron Meadows, Chris Hendrix, Robert Mills and Spencer Ambrose.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to LifeCare Hospice, 21 Beach Grove Road, Cullman, AL 35077.
