Blue Devils defeat Meek

After leading at Halftime by only one point, Falkville (2-4) extended its lead and beat the Meek Tigers 66-46 at Meek in area play on Friday.

The Blue Devils came out after the intermission leading 28-27 and managed 19 points in the third quarter, 12 of coming off three-pointers with Trevor Blackwood making three of them.

The Blue Devil Defense stepped up in the fourth quarter, holding Meek to only four points, where FHS scored another consistent 19.

Canaan Smith led in scoring for Falkville with 21 points and five rebounds. Travis Cole had 15 and five rebounds, and Trevor Blackwood added 12 of his own. Aaron Estes had five points and six rebounds, Nate Drinkard and Caleb Anders both had four, Clay Austill added a tre, and Hayden Blevins had two free throws.

The Lady Devils also pulled out a win over Meek, 54-36, bringing them to 7-1 on the season.
