Lady Patriots remain perfect after 7 games

Brewer’s Lady Patriots improved their record to 7-0 after finishing ahead of the pack in the Danville Lady Hawks Holiday Tournament last week.

The defending Class 5A state champions are led by Riley Northway, the 2012 5A State Tournament MVP, 2012 Player of the Year nominee and all-state honoree. She is averaging 14 points, 10 rebounds and three steals per game while playing less than 14 minutes in four of her team’s blowout wins.

Teammates Rheagan Harvel, Cheyenne McLemore and Mallory Drinkard and Emily Oden are not far behind.

Harvel is averaging 11.4 points, nine rebounds, 2.7 steals and 2.7 assists per game. Oden is averaging 7.7 points, 1.4 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 13 assists; McLemore, 6.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.9 steams and 3 assists; Drinkard, 6.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.3 steals.
