Funeral for Brenda Roy Tapscott, 66, of Decatur will be Mon., Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Alred and Bro. Wayne Penn officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Tapscott died Sat., Nov. 24, 2012, at River City Rehabilitation Center. She was born Dec. 25, 1945, in Morgan County to Ottis Euel Roy and Clara Ruth Madry Roy. She was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church where she served as treasurer for 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, R.E. Tapscott of Decatur; two sons, Stacey Tapscott and wife Tina of Decatur and Jason Tapscott of Cullman; three brothers, Marvin Roy of Locust Fork, Bob Roy of Priceville and Joe Roy of Caddo; a sister, Glenda Dale Thompson of Priceville; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be George Thompson, Derrick Roy, Joe Nuss, Dennis Stephenson, Chris Wallace, Heath Tapscott, Randall Roy and Mickey Wallace.
